Hata Spot Exchange: Common Order Errors and Resolutions

Updated over 3 weeks ago

When trading on the Hata Spot Exchange, some orders may fail, get rejected, or behave differently than expected especially when markets move quickly. This guide covers the most common trading errors users encounter on the Hata Spot Exchange, what they mean, and the fastest way to resolve them.

1) Insufficient Balance

Error: “Insufficient Balance”

What it means: You don’t have enough available funds to place this order.

How to fix:

  • Reduce your order quantity, or

  • Cancel other open orders that are locking funds, or

  • Buy/deposit more funds into your account.

2) Minimum Order Value Not Met

Error: “Minimum order value is 10”

What it means: Your order total (price × quantity) is below the minimum allowed value.

How to fix:

  • Increase the quantity until the total order value is ≥ 10 (in the quote currency shown on the pair).

3) Maximum Order Value Exceeded

Error:Maximum order value is 50,000”

What it means: Your order total is above the maximum allowed value (e.g. 50,000 USDT).

How to fix:

  • Reduce the quantity, or

  • Split into multiple smaller orders.

4) Invalid Minimum Order Quantity

Error: “Invalid minimum order quantity”

What it means: Your quantity is below the minimum quantity allowed for that trading pair.

How to fix:

  • Increase the quantity to meet the minimum shown in the error.

5) Invalid Maximum Order Quantity

Error: “Invalid maximum order quantity”

What it means: Your quantity is above the maximum quantity allowed for that trading pair.

How to fix:

  • Reduce the quantity to below the maximum shown in the error, or

  • Split into multiple orders.

6) Post-Only Order Cancelled

Error: “Order cancelled – Please adjust the limit price so it does not match or cross the current best bid/ask, as 'Post-Only' requires the order to be non-immediately executable.”

What it means: Post-Only orders are not allowed to be filled immediately. If your price would execute right away, the order gets cancelled.

How to fix:

  • For a buy, set your limit price below the current best ask, or

  • For a sell, set your limit price above the current best bid, or

  • Turn off Post-Only.

7) Order Cancelled: Price Too Far From Market

Error: “Order cancelled – Your transaction was automatically cancelled because the price you submitted deviates by more than 30% from the current market price.”

What it means: Your price is too far from the current market price (a safety check).

How to fix:

  • Recheck decimals (common typo).

  • Set a price closer to market, or use a stop order if you want it to trigger later.

8) Invalid Trigger Price (Stop Orders)

Error: “Invalid trigger price – For a buy order, the trigger price must be higher than the last traded price. For a sell order, the trigger price must be lower than the last traded price.”

What it means: Your trigger price is on the wrong side of the market.

  • Buy stop: trigger incorrectly placed below current market price

  • Sell stop: trigger incorrectly placed above current market price

How to fix:

  • Adjust the trigger to the correct side:

    • For buy stop, place trigger price above current market price

    • For sell stop, place trigger price below current market price
